Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners physicians and other healthcare professionals with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.

The goal of this program is to improve the management of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and cardiac-related syncope and palpitations. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Describe the attributes of an ideal cardiac marker.
2. Review the strengths and limitations of various cardiac markers.
3. Utilize the multimarker approach in the diagnosis of AMI.
4. Apply the guidelines recommended for cardiac marker testing.
5. Discuss the possible cardiac causes of syncope and palpitations.
