We haidlj suspect its existence till it is time for breakfast or dinner; then mdfiitd steps in and rudely reminds us of a duty we owe to Brahraanhood. We throw down a few spoonfuls of water and utter a few words wliicl) convey no meaning to us and feel satisfied that we have discharged a debt that is due to oiir religion. We fail to see that here as elsewhere the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
