Description
Two-dimensional visual impressions originate from the surfaces of the retinas in one’s eyes. But one’s brain is able to merge the slightly different images from both one’s eyes so that we see three-dimensionally. However, one’s brain is even more sophisticated. It merges the impressions formed from one’s sense of touch so that we experience four-dimensional substance. Every phenomenon must have substance. Three dimensions may be enough to form an image of a structure of any size, but they are insufficient to form its substance.
