Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners - physicians and other healthcare professionals - with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.
Audio-Digest Urology is specifically designed to provide the participant with state-of-the-art information, including, but not limited to, the diagnosis and management of:
Benign prostatic hyperplasia Bladder cancer Prostate cancer Renal cancer Impotence and infertility Female stress urinary incontinence Calculus disease Interstitial cystitis Pediatric urologic problems Penile malformations Reflux disease Sexually transmitted diseases
The goals of this program are to improve the surgical management of male infertility; to potentially increase practical applications of robotic technology in pediatric patients; and to improve management of urologic conditions such as stress incontinence through a greater awareness of midurethral sling procedures. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1: Describe the microsurgical techniques for vasectomy reversal.
2: Outline the approach for managing the azoospermic patient.
3: Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of robotic technology in pediatric surgery.
4: Summarize the similarities and differences between the abdominal and obturator approaches for midurethral slings.
5: Identify the complications associated with midurethral sling procedures.
