How Alex Learned To Give Back / Cómo Alex Aprendió A Dar (Alex’s Bilingual Children’s Book Series 5)

I got the idea of writing this and all the other “Alex’s Bilingual Children’s Book Series” because I could not find that many bilingual children’s books in the area where we live. Many times I found myself reading a book in English to my son and then translating it into Spanish so he would practice both languages. Other times, I found myself reading a book in Spanish and translating it into English so my son would understand. I also found that it was hard to find a bilingual book with a good message at the end of the story.

This book not only allows kids to learn Spanish and/or English, but hopefully will teach them how much fun it can be to share with others less fortunate. In this story, Alex learns how good it feels to help the animals at the shelter and kids in need. In typical Alex fashion, he makes us all laugh with his silly comments! At the end of the story, Alex certainly understands how important it is to give back. We hope that this book will inspire you to donate your time and/or items for animals at the shelter & kids in need. If you are looking to add a new pet family member to your household, you might also be inspired to consider adopting a pet from the shelter.

I hope you enjoy this book as much as I do when I read it to my son.

Please point to each word in this book as you read to your child so he/she can start recognizing the sounds that each word makes in each language.
