In Fullness of Glory: True Light In A Dark World

Each of us desires a form of glory, yet when we attempt attain it, it always seems to slip right through our fingers. Freedom is one such shade of glory that we express by the way we live our lives. However, the freedom we feel comes at a price. It is a price we cannot pay.

Somewhere beneath the facade we also desire honor or respect. We want to be held in high esteem. In today’s society we see it in the form of Hollywood fame. There is a desire in us to be treated with that high regard. But why does that desire continuously go unsatisfied?

Authority a.k.a. power is widely sought after. It is the bread of many leaders and role models. However, there is nothing more abused in our world today than power.

The freedom, honor, and authority of this world will only lead to death. The beauty of our world’s glory lures us into pursueing these things. Yet in our full hearted pursuit we are left beaten and broken.

It is only the glory found in the face of Jesus that can really give us freedom, restore honor to our lives, and give us the power & Authority to live boldly.
