The Snow Storm

The Story deals with the issues that winter brings for a farmer. The poor farmer does not have any milk for himself, the hungry and therefore angry animals are also going without fodder as well. Because there is no wood to keep everyone warm, this enhances the problems that winter brings along with it. However, Sodad has kept the glow of hope alive in the story and the Yellow Pig goes on to talk about how we should not be afraid because this is simply how we are made. The focus is on hope and solidarity in the midst of communal despair. Sodad’s exceptional story telling ends the book on a positive and gleeful note whereby the Yellow Pig throws up his hands in joy and proclaims how he loves the charm of the farm.
