Risk Management Standards for Energy Market Participants

The CCRO's membership of expert practitioners has worked together for almost a decade now, developing and publishing "best practices" that an energy firm may choose to deploy in pursuit of the most effective management of risks inherent to its commercial activities. In contrast, this CCRO working group has identified the spectrum of critical risk-related issues that must be addressed, these being fundamental to basic risk management. This Risk Management Standards (RMS) document brings together that spectrum of issues and addresses them with a comprehensive list of twenty-seven "risk management standards". We hold these standards as necessary to make effective management of energy risks possible for any energy firm.
