📖 Description
A barnacle is an animal that lives in the sea. Many people don't think of a barnacle as an animal. That's because they never see it. The animal is hidden inside a shell. A barnacle has a round body. It also has six pairs of legs. That's twelve legs! But it doesn't use its legs for walking. It uses them to eat with. Barnacles actually live upside down! Their heads are at the bottom and their legs are sticking up into the water. Find out more about these strange sea creatures in this fun 15-minute book. Find out the answers to these questions: How does a barnacle eat with its legs? How does a barnacle near the shore stay wet when the tide goes out? Why do people who own boats hate barnacles? What can one little barnacle do to a huge submarine?
Learn what a barnacle looks like, where it lives, what it eats, what eats it, how babies are born, and other fun facts.
