Description

In this edition, the scope of the book has been somewhat extended. It does not deal solely with Pleadings; it now includes an outline of the procedure in an ordinary action in the Queen s Bench Division. The reader must understand, however, that what he will find here is but elementary; for anything unusual or exceptional he must still have recourse to Chitty s Archbold or the Annual Practice. Five new chapters have been added; one dealing with Parties, Joinder of Causes of A ction, and Jurisdiction; the other four relate to Trial, A ppeals, Execution, and Costs. The following matters are also dealt with specially in this edition: Account Stated, Settled A ccount, Action on a Bond, Declaration of Right or Title, Replevin, and Discovery of Documents. An Appendix containing 120 Precedents has been also added. All relevant decisions have been noted down to and including September 21st, 1897; and the whole book has been thoroughly revised and brought up to date. W. B. 0. 4, Elm Ooubt, Temple, E.O. October,
