The Rebirth Chronicle

Days after the physical death of his cancer-ridden body, brilliant and wealthy business mogul John Cabot awakens in the body of a year-old baby. Disoriented, wearing a wet diaper, he realizes that the culmination of his life’s work and ultimate creation, Project Rebirth, is a success. In a stunning feat of human cloning and age regression, he has become an adult baby in the truest sense.

A pioneer in digitally mapping and modeling the human mind, the terminally ill Cabot is inspired by his beautiful young wife, Katrina, to develop technology to cheat death by uploading his thoughts, memories and personality – the essence of himself – to a computer. He then meets Dr. Dylan Phelps, a renegade innovator in biogenetics who not only perfects human cloning, but devises a method to accelerate the physical maturation of a newborn clone into an adult in a matter of months. Together, they form Project Rebirth.

Cabot has a plan. At his death, the digital model of his own mind will be downloaded from the computer into one of Phelps’ newborn human clones. In a year, he will have grown into a young man with his DNA donor’s movie-star good looks, marry his gorgeous Katrina and reclaim the wealth she inherited after Cabot’s physical demise.

They say God laughs when men make plans, however, and the last laugh will be on Cabot in this tale of hubris, betrayal and retribution combining an ABDL theme with science fiction noir in the tradition of Philip K. Dick and “The Twilight Zone.”
