Strong hands lifted the deathly still Priestess onto the makeshift bed. She had fought a long hard battle with the demon Bodharma and was now near death. Her Son Helios watched as Melei the medicine woman dressed her wounds while her husband Yaztec and the Spirit dancers formed a tight circle around her chanting through the night urging her spirit to stay in her body. Helios wept unashamed as he stood by helpless watching the woman he loved whom he came through the veils of time slip away leaving him devastated and alone. At the eleventh hour when all seemed lost, Moem opened her eyes and moaned aloud. She had seen the future, a great war was coming and death awaited them all. Helios silently urged her on to stay awake to recover from her terrible wounds. She looked at him recognized him and tried to speak, but the pain was so great she fainted and was lost to him once more. Yaztec turned to Helios and said,"There is not much you can do for her. We will tend to her wounds and keep her spirit in her body, you have a mission and you must leave now otherwise we are all doomed. Mahakala must not win this war. Go now, save us if you can." Helios could only nod, his voice was too choked to speak. Silently he prayed to Usen their god of all that was good in the universe, SAVE HER, PLEASE. He then turned and left his beloved in the hands of the only people he trusted. Now he must face the enemy who meant to destroy them all.
