Are we Freaks of Nature, -or what?: can any sect be alowed

Short story, Fiction, At the large astronomical convention, the visiting astrophysicists, were told that we now had several thousand Earth type planets, and size planets investigated. And of those, over five hundred could support humanity. At the same time, a church sect, calling themselves the Church of the Lord. Had with their misguided believes, murdered one of the delegates of the convention. Both the FBI, and a local military unite came to take the murderer to jail. However they were all killed by the church members. When these new planets had been accepted as safe, emigrants were sent there. Back on Earth, the church people were put in jail, and up on Earth2, a similar situation was handled without any trouble, until some of the new arrivals decided to take care of the problem the old western way.
