442 Waverly - A Tale of Silicon Valley

Frank Drone, a junior accountant working for the Company in accounts receivable falls in love with Mary Croft, the lead hardware engineer who works on the second floor. Frank lets his inborn hostility towards Jimmie Lew, the Chinese Credit Manager thwart his unbridled ambitions to become supervisor or to transfer into Sales.
Pacqui Almani, the intrepid but slow moving Human Resources Manager must stop Frank from destroying what little camaraderie the Company has in its critical Finance and Accounting Department.

The story heats up when the Board of Directors decides the Company’s stock price can only grow faster by doing a hostile takeover of Xist, another high technology company. To this end, Mac McDonald, the talented CEO takes the helm and leads the Company to its destiny.

As the stresses from the bitter merger mount upon all employees, Frank Drone breaks down repeatedly until one day he is fired. After he loses everything he ever worked for, including his one time love, Mary, he decides to come back to the Company and exact his revenge.

Set in Palo Alto, California, a Silicon Valley hotspot, 442 Waverly leads the reader on an adventure of high tech business dealings and shows how even the sweetest love can end in violence.
The impact of the Great Recession is felt on the character’s lives as the story moves from December 2009 to December 2010.
