Reliable narcotics intelligence is the cornerstone of successful narcotics law enforcement. DBA District, and selected foreign offices have intelligence units that supply narcotics intelligence information to appropriate law enforcement agencies both domestically and internationally. In addition, DEA has established the ElP aso Intelligence Center (EPIC) which provides comprehensive intelligence support, particularly in the areas of air and vessel interdiction to appropriate agencies, EPIC is staffed by representatives from DEA, U.S. Customs, U.S. Coast Guard, Bureau of A lcohol, Tobacco firearms, and INS.
