Interviews with a Former Porn Addicted Sexual Exhibitionist: How Sexually Deviant Behaviors in Christian Men Damages Lives

The content of this book (at approx. 7,275 words in length) is in regard to a personal struggle experienced by a fictitious man in the area of sexual deviance (his being a fictional person does not diminish the truth conveyed by this 'parable'). These experiences actually represent the problems discussed with me by many men during my approximate 20 years as a Christian Youth Minister.

Most cases of porn addiction do not involve anxiety disorders but this was the case with the man interviewed by me for this book (a symbolic character, representing very real problems) and as his experience demonstrates the fact that sexual addictions may become more severe if anxiety disorders are also present and serve to fuel them. Obviously there are many other types of addictions in the area of sexuality as well and some cause severe harm to others who become the target of men who perpetrate them. Sexual deviance that is not recognized, has caused serious detriment to societies throughout the history of mankind and it continues to do so.

The subject matter is of a very serious nature and I have intended to address it as cautiously and respectfully as possible, within my abilities as a well-studied layperson, who has published resources on the subject of anxiety disorders since the year 2005. Additionally, I have been publishing resources on subjects of Christianity since the year 2005 as well. The man who is the subject of this book, began coming-forward to relate his experiences to select members of his family and friends, and also to select members of his church family as a process of his deliverance.

He discusses details of his former bondage (spiritual oppression in the form of sexual deviance), via my extensive interview questions presented in this book, which are transcribed carefully into the headings, with the language and structure of comments made in answer to questions I posed, being edited by me as needed. He was to be completely satisfied with the way in which I relate his story in writing, even though anonymously or the book would not be released for publication (Details of realism are applied to this 'parable man' in order to convey a pragmatic spiritual solution for real life deliverance.).

Approval was given for each of the headings listed below, after a strict reading and final consideration of them (NOTE: I was both author grantor of final approval for these). His name and identity will be carefully guarded (actually representing a number of men, as readers will understand from the book's PREFACE) and not revealed to this book's readers, under any circumstances. This man of Christian faith is allowing others to understand and to learn from his experience, in spite of the anguish and guilt it caused him for many years of his life. Coming forward in attempt to help inform others about the problem in our society of sexual addictions in men (also affecting a significant percent of women), was part of his healing process.
