When the body of a man presumed to be Thomas Gage, a former OSS agent, is found shot to death and then burned in the mountains of Colorado, ex-cop Nick Ferron, his grandson, wants to know why. But to find out, he's going to have to track down the men and women involved in the wartime mission that still ties three secret agents to the spymaster who betrayed them all.
