Dance with the elephant: learn to transformation from IBM

As a successful example to transform from a manufacturer into a service and software provider, IBM has been a model to study by international and Chinese enterprises as well as the object followed by many enterprises. IBM's successful transformation undoubtedly has an important reference value and practical demonstration for many Chinese enterprises thinking about transforming to a service-oriented enterprise or service-oriented manufacturer. The author makes a wonderful exposition of the content and outcome of the transformation of IBM by using his rich professional experience at IBM and proposes ¡°the six key points to transformation¡± aiming at the framework model of transformation for Chinese enterprises by combining with IBM's transformation experience and strategic framework and his rich practical experience in domestic enterprises. ¡°The six key points to transformation¡± first proposes six key elements for enterprise transformation: enterprise transformation strategy, leadership promotion, continuous innovation of enterprise class, enterprise culture transformation, building the business mode and optimizing the operating mode; it also introduces IBM's practices and management methods in the six aspects by combination of experience in IBM.
