Passion United

Passion United is a book about football and the passion the game brings out in fans. It is written for fans, by a fan.

It is unique and differs to any other football title, containing a mixture of fact based narrative (observations and memoirs), intersected by raw, relevant, original poems, written by the author.

The theme of “fan passion" is centric throughout the book, exploring many aspects including the golden era of the 60s, through the 70s and hooliganism, referees, the greatest players, and the current financial issues affecting the game.

Much of the narrative and poems take a sideways look at various aspects of the game and the way it affects fans' emotions.

We all have our views on the game and different things affect us in various ways. It may not even be anything to do with our team; we have opinions about other teams, who the football greats are, about obscene transfer fees and billionaire owners. I have tried to capture most things that all fans will relate to, things that bring out passion and set off our emotions.

After all, it’s the passion of the fans that makes the game what it is.
