Act of Contrition

Twenty-five years ago Darron Blake found a niche market in northeastern Washington State, and Blake drove a souped up ATV across the international border into Canada, picked up a few hockey bags of prime BC Bud, and transported it back across the border. A man came by his house the following day and handed Blake some cash before he drove off with the weed. Many trips later life is good for Blake, his wife and son, then his son is kidnapped and found dead in a ditch, the DEA caught Blake and he spent the next ten years in a federal prison, and when he's released his wife Molly died of cancer. Blake can't think of any reason to go on living, but can't pull it off alone, so when his prison buddy Latham Coyle calls and says he's got a deal to transport a load of crystal meth from lower Baja, Blake signs of for the trip in his pickup and camper. It's risky business, and Blake wants to end his life with a bang, and this suicide trip is just the ticket he needs to the promised land. Then the man who captured him years ago, special agent Davis of the DEA, shows up with an offer Blake finds hard to resist. Set up Coyle for the drug bust and Davis will reveal who killed Blake's son.
