Since the day she had been born, Talla had been been right smack dab in the middle of her family's power struggle to control the land of Cava. Now that she is almost at the age to become married each of her parents has chosen a suitor for her and the family's conflict is on the verge of breaking out into a full-blown civil war. However between ice dragons, an irritable fighting instructor, and a hooded figure who may or may not be a figment of her imagination, choosing a husband is the last thing on her mind.
