Soualee at the age of fifteen, was snatched from, the streets, raped and married within three days as the Hmong custom dictated and is still followed in Green Bay Wisconsin. Born on American soil, Soualee had wished to go to college and follow her dreams of playing in an orchestra. Now living with her in-laws and finding life intolerable, she and her husband, who is a local gang member, struggle to over come the difficulties laid in their path. We their life as they buy their own home from ill gotten gains, robbery, widowhood and eventual murder with the wrong person being prosecuted.
