Ana Albrecht was brought up in the small town of Norton, North Dakota. She lost her beloved Aunt Cassandra at the age of four and twenty years into the future she is working at the store that Cassandra had owned. Her passion for photography is cut short as she remains behind the counter day after day processing film for other people. One day a young man comes in with an older camera. While processing the film, she realizes the pictures are of her. After calling her friend to her side they decide to follow the man back to California to find out more about him. While there, Ana meets an old friend and finds out more about what really happened to her aunt. Her future is not as bleak as she thought it would be. She is finally able to move on with her life and is living her dream with the man she loves.
