Maggots - A binman's woeful tale

Maggots is a funny story about Cheatham, a local council that introduces fortnightly rubbish collections, conveniently forgetting the "F" word. Residents, workforce and political opponents are unimpressed.

Councillor Cyril Huckett is Cheatham's rubbish guru and he only has the environment at heart although an OBE would go down a treat. Cheatham's ruling party, the LIPS or LIES as the opposition refers to them are pulling the wool over everyone's eyes and a Labour councillor is sacked for being caught with his fingers in the till over the building of Cheatham's new recycling factory.

Maggots reveals the sassy side of local government. Rumpy-pumpy involving the Mayor, the Chief Executive, Councillor Huckett and a gay refuse truck driver add to the fun... and if that's not enough, there's always the Council's Leader, known colloquially as Pooper-Scooper Hooper with his obsession for removing dogs' mess from Cheatham's streets ... you'll see your rubbish in a different light after reading Maggots.
