101: A Marriage of Reconciliation

101 - A Marriage of Reconciliation is an amazing genuine marriage and family success story. It is a true story of a marriage that experienced great joy and great despair, good times and bad, separation, divorce, reconciliation and remarriage after eight years. It is Steve Ashford’s testimony; a husband and father’s testimony, written from his vantage point and perspective. It is the story of triumph over the pain and suffering that separation and divorce can bring to a family.

During eight years of separation and divorce, Steve and Cynthia met once or twice per month to exchange their three children at exit 101, Grange Hall Road, on Interstate Highway 75 in Michigan. The number 101 is a symbol that represents the polarization of their relationship in those years. Steve was on one side and Cynthia on the other living 100 miles north with the children. There was zero intimacy and fellowship between them.

It is the author’s desire that transparency about his brokenness and subsequent victory would result in reconciliation for the broken marriages and families of countless others.
