Description
Nigel Ward is a bit of a banker who`s surrounded by complete bankers. He`s struggled with his job for twenty years. Suffered a nervous breakdown and a broken marriage. He blames these misfortunes on his employment. People are continually promoted above him and his career is going nowhere.
As a weekend Father it seems only his spoilt son iskeeping him on the rails. That, accompanied by his divorced wife whom he still has affection. But it`s a relationship which has gone as far as it can go. He lives in curtain twitching suburbia which holds not surprises until the curtains stop moving. Then realisation hits. He has the power to change things but not sure he can do it for the better.
Mr Turnball, a branch Manager, confides his worries to him. This is the last straw. He realises he`s not the only victim in the world of office and business politics. He wants justice for himself and Mr Turnball. He decides on doing this by stealing from his employer. But can it be done and can he get away with it. He`s been honest all his life but its given no rewards. Is he even capable of stealing.
Juggling motives he decides stealing is not his main driving force. Satisfaction will come in deceiving the system and making it crumble. But is one small man capable of taking on the might of the corporate cosh. Above all, does anybody really care. He does! Nigel`s desperate the institution pays for his enslavement, one way or the other.
He toys with several ideas before getting a plan together which is foolproof. But has he got the bottle to see it through and will his nerve hold. If he succeeds without getting caught who will the blame fall on. Will this petty act of vandalism cause innocent victims. Can he deal with the consequences and live with himself. Despite the questioning he achieves his aims but uncertain if has achieved the desired effects. Perhaps he should have been careful for what he wished for.
