The Sword of Training (Lunaria Book 2)

Volume 2 of Lunaria Epic. After Claire settles in at Greyhaven, she waits as two years of war with Tieben isolate her from her mentor, Gilbert Greybaird, and Prince Pem, the boy she followed into Lunaria. The war end successfully and she and Tess of Tribana prepare to be introduced into Court at the Palace in Lumminea. Affairs at the Palace start out well enough, but then Claire and Tess are kidnapped by assassin who work for a member of the Council of Nine. THe council intends to stop Claire's marriage to Pem by disposing of her. Ever resourceful, the two young women escape through a black stone gate and arrive in the far north where they meet the deposed King Hushara of Tieben. Claire promises to help the old king escape and that Lunaria will befriend him. In return, Hushara gives her the Sword of Training which becomes a dire weapon in Claire's hands.

Claire's must confront many dangers in traversing the fierce and icy landscape of Tieben as she makes her way home.
