Confucianism is one of the worlds great religions and yet is so much more, and in some ways way less, than a religion. A complex set of social practices that are more aligned to community harmony and balance than to satisfy the wishes or commands of a deity, this text probes into several main topics in Confucian thought and structure. Such topics include the important concept of 'Li,' the views on and roles of women in Confucian society, how Confucianism saw itself in a developing Geo-political world, as well as it's interplay with other predominant religious movements in Asia during its inception and period of growth.
