"Algebra and Data Analysis in Early Childhood Settings" book focuses on the development of Algebraic foundation among young children. The book describes various play based techniques to facilitate pattern making, classifying, sorting and introducing concept of data analysis. This is book is a second one in a series.
The Mathematics for Young Children series is comprised of three books: Numbers and Operations, Algebra and Data Analysis, and Geometry and Measurement. These books are based on the five mathematical content areas defined by the NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics). They are designed for getting children ready for kindergarten-level mathematics. All techniques and activities discussed in these books are either play-based or exploratory in nature.
