Description
'Dhaka to Dakar' was my backpacking dream. To travel, as much by land as possible, from Dhaka in Bangladesh to Dakar, in Senegal West Africa. This is the fourth chapter of my journey, where I visited Pakistan.
A glimpse into Pakistan as I continue overland westward. Pakistan held a number of fears for me, including personal safety, but I met so many wonderful people here and saw so many incredible things that these concerns soon melted away.
I traveled from Lahore in the east to Multan where India was playing Pakistan in test cricket for the first time in many years, and further south to the breathtaking ruins at Uch Schariff. I ventured backwards on my journey to go to Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the capital, and then to the Afghan border near Peshawar via the Khyber Pass. Then westward and southward again, I visited Quetta before taking a bus across the desert to Iran. Pakistan was exciting, different, welcoming and always an adventure. Please share my experiences with me!
