Written originally and partly for company trainees, my aim is to bring this knowledge into the realms of both the Amateur Hobbyist,Professional Craftsman and small businessman wishing to take advantage of the ever growing market of Ornamental iron Gates, Railings etc.....
With two accomplished time served tradesmen doing the writing, with 50 years experience between them who have worked in all aspects of the Fabrication business from shopfloor to Director level, and experienced with dealing and selling to Homeowners, Builders, Property Developers, Gardening Centres as well as through various selling medias such as Ebay or via a website.
You will find the training and tips laid out in laymans terms through experience in the field and to some extent 'trial and error'.
I’ve included a description of equipment that would be required and a detailed description of useful jigs, welding methods and measuring up tips.
Information and examples of How to cost,Invoice, purchase etc.... Details on how to estimate and quote successfully with tips on good practice and pitfalls to avoid.
In fact most of the information is included to enable any competent person to engage this profession and start manufacturing saleable products within a few weeks.
It may become obviously quickly, but this book has been written by a Fabricator and with the assistance of similar folk,take care and enjoy!
