EL DORADO: A Fabled City of Gold

The book pictorially chronicles six successive generations in their search for the fabled City of Gold: El Dorado. Six generations of paradise found and lost. El Dorado was a mythical city that came to represent any place where wealth could be rapidly acquired. A metaphor for an ultimate prize or "Holy Grail" that millions of people have spent their lives seeking, a figure of speech, something much desired but which may not even exist. In the United States we call it "The American Dream".
