Regret

Anna is an exceptional girl leading an ordinary life. When her husband is killed in a shooting at an airport which becomes a national tragedy, she retreats into her grief. But the pain and loss causes her to ignore something that she's only partially conscious of: she's remembering moments from the future as well as the past.

When she empties a bin of tools on the counter, she finds a small metal cylinder. It’s something that Elijah shouldn’t have had, an impossible object. She unearths a connection between the object, her husband, and a shadowy group connected to her days in college. On her own, she confronts a stranger who she thinks knows the truth. Within a few hours, he is murdered. She realizes that she is running from powerful people who know all about her. Anna tries to vanish, but finds that escaping halfway across the US won't be far enough.

She will be forced to choose what she believes about the man she thought she knew and loved. Those memories of the future are part of a cycle of moments that she has had to relive over and over. What can she do to stop this cycle? How can she escape this fate?
