The Art of Lucid Dreaming: Chapters Ten - Twelve

I am a clinician in the field of sleep medicine. Several years ago, I experienced every parent’s most dreaded nightmare; my son was abducted. Desperate, as any parent no doubt would be, I began trying all manner of things to try to discover his whereabouts. One of those things was an attempt to use lucid dreaming to find him. I became quite expert on achieving the lucid dream state. Although his whereabouts were not revealed in a lucid dream, all kinds of things that were related to my relationship with my son were. It was as if the universe was interested in making me a better father when he returned, and he did return and is currently well, and I feel that I am a better parent. In the process of mastering lucid dreaming, I discovered that if you posed questions, you got answers; answers that poured out of me in the morning when I awakened. Over a couple of years, they formed a kind of collective cosmology. I cannot say that they are accurate or “the truth”. But they are very thought provoking. A Novel Thought (ANT) are those “answers”. You be the judge. I hope they benefit you, as they have me. This section includes dreams on the nature of duality and “Oneness”, the function and composition of quanta and their relationship to focused consciousness as well as the engine that drives time and dimension.

"There are two fundamental states of consciousness, passive awareness and active focus. The intermingling of these two states, by both individuals and collectives, form the underlying mechanism that drives the universe through time and that lead to the circumstance that results in the formation of alternative universes.
Time may be viewed as a series of interlinked moments of passive conscious awareness that are each composed of unrealized waves of infinite potential until a source of consciousness is focused upon them. That focus necessarily collapses that limitless potential into a single physical entity by functioning as the determiner of the chosen pathway. That “choice” transforms the potential into packets of probability within physical space; as a collection of “particles” representing a specific pathway through time and that refines the probable future. It is these particles that move the universe forward to the next series of probability waves; to the next moment. Some of the “choices” are made by the island consciousnesses of individuals and some by collectives of individuals depending upon the immediate circumstance. The rest are made by the underlying life force. Basically, the universe is in constant motion through time because of the focus of some form of consciousness that is directed towards a specific potential outcome. Thus the movement of time through the web of probability is also the engine that drives the multi-verse."
