Women In Islam

In today’s society, women are often objectified as being inferior to men. The roles and the status of women have changed significantly over the past few decades. In addition, the ways in which women are viewed vary greatly from culture to culture. Unfortunately, it seems in the west that even though certain views have come a long way, western culture still defines men and women as unequal, with men being superior to women. One of the ways in which society has differed men and woman is by labeling them. It is common for a man to be seen as dominant and strong, while women are seen as weak and passive. Western culture also defines women as being sensitive, and in order to obtain the things a man can easily achieve, the woman must learn to be tough and aggressive. Women have often been subordinated throughout history, and still continue to be today.
