CSR IN INDONESIA, Legislative Developments and Case Studies

This book has been organised as a joint research publication. It constitutes a part of a broader initiative to explore CSR legal developments in the Indonesian legal system and practice. it aims to explore not only voluntary CSR mechanisms imposed by international companies but also mandatory CSR requirements and obligations currently introduced in various legal fields such as company law, investment law, and state-owned enterprises law. This book also provides an overview of the existing Indonesian CSR policies and schemes with reference to their implementation on a practical level. It consists of a range of legal approaches and perspectives mostly aiming to deliver a strong plurality of academic insights, observations and recommendations about the institutionalisation and practical implementation of CSR in the Indonesian legal context. its contents are divided into four subjects: Empowering the CSR legal framework in Indonesia; Introducing CSR in a wider legal context in Indonesia; Introducing CSR in a wider legal context in Indonesia; Strcturing new CSR mechanisms for the Indonesian companies; and, An innovetive view of CSR implementation in Indonesia.
