Court Martial Robert Goddard (Court Marshall Robert Goddard Book 1)
Description
Robert Goddard joined the RNVR in 1914, at age 21 years, enrolled as a Skipper of an escort Trawler. He trained on armoured vessels, undertook escort duty of our coastlines. Robert won Naval Prize Money for marine salvage, and defended Southern Italy. He told the family that he had sunk a British submarine, resulting in a Court Martial - which found him innocent but nothing in his records refers to the event. This book includes Robert's recollection of WW1, but due to Censorship he never told the complete story. Only when the records withheld under the National Secrets Act are released in 1917, will we know the exact truth of his Court Martial - and more excitingly, just why he was taken to a Court Martial.
