One day soon, our species will set forth across the enormous gulf of space in search of new worlds to conquer. Who will be the Wright Brothers of this emerging push for the stars? Who will be the Tesla, and the Edison, and the Ford, and the Einstein...and, perhaps, the Machiavelli of this new age? Could these people already live among us? Who will be the first to strike out into the impossibly vast, unknown frontier? What stories will they have to tell? The answers to these questions will have to wait a few more years...at least...but soon we will have answers to them all.
Until then...Look Skyward Pioneer. This is the initial book in my series, The Gorgonov Legacy, which follows the first of the pioneers and settlers who make their exodus from an overcrowded Earth...grasping at whatever opportunity they can find to make their way to the frontier worlds. Outlaws and miners, bounty hunters and scientists...all of them pushing outward into the unknown.
I consider myself an old-school science fiction writer...meaning I include a lot of real science in my writing, along with a decent serving of philosophy and ethics...topped off, of course, with a healthy dose of adventure and action in exotic alien landscapes. I want to write real books about real people in a future that is not too far beyond the horizon.
