Some people hate my book and here is why:

My name is Alan Stransman, and I am the author of this book with the long title - "Badass B***S***: Helping Young Men Identify and Reject Toxic Ideas About Dating, Relationships, Women and Sex".

In the summer of 2013, I became aware of a digital product that was being heavily promoted within the internet marketing community - a so-called "dating guide" for men called, The Tao of Badass".

As I have written a long book in the dating and relationships niche, called, "So, Why Have You Never Been Married?: A Memoir of Love, Loss and Lunacy", I was intrigued to find out more about this "badass" product that was one of the best-selling products in the digital marketplace called Clickbank.

I went to the website for the product and I watched the promotional video for it - a very slicky-produced, whiteboard animation video which purports to tell the story of how the product creator, Josh Pellicer, came to develop his "badass" philosophy and approach to women.

I was, frankly, astonished by what I saw and could not believe that anyone could possibly be naive enough to believe one word of this story, or to buy this ridiculous-sounding product. Here is a sample of the narration from the promotional video for "The Tao of Badass":

"If you consider yourself an above average oe even typical guy, stick around. This is totally for you, and if you watch until the end of the webinar, I'm going to give you the system that is literally step-by-step and is proven to create sexual intrigue that is so powerful that almost any girl you use it on will find their panties around their knees soaked to the max before she can even say, 'My name is ....'"

A bit later in the video, the narrator states that his under-the-radar phrase will "instantly transform any woman into my private sex slave and compel her to follow me around like a puppy dog without having to even think about competing with other dudes for her attention."

If you do not find this language - this imagery - offensive, then fine - DO NOT BUY MY BOOK!

If you do find it offensive - if you happen to recall that the monster who abducted and held three young women in Ohio captive for over a decade having transformed them into his private sex slaves, restraining them in the basement with dog leashes - and you see a rather unsettling similarity between that atrocity and the language that was cited above - "transform any woman into my private sex slave and compel her to follow me around like a puppy dog" - then BUY MY BOOK and share it with anyone who might be impressionable enough to be enticed by this language and imagery.

This book is not an attack upon any individual - it attempts to expose a culture in which women are not only sexually objectified, but subjected to unspeakable violence every day.

The fact there is an epidemic of sexual assaults on university campuses is evidence that a lot of the wrong messages towards dating, relationships, women and sex are getting out there.

As you will see from the reviews of this book, there are people who do not like it - because they thought it was going to teach them how to be a "badass" with women, not why they should try being kind, honest and considerate instead.

Any form of manipulation that causes a woman to engage in sexual activity against her will - and against her better judgement - is wrong. Just ask the two former football players who were recently convicted of rape for taking an unconscious fellow student back to a dorm room and violating her after a night of drinking. They face decades in jail - a terrible, terrible waste of young lives.

I believe that the message of my book is much-needed. If you agree, buy it, review it and share it.
