Bob Marley

This eBook will attempt to tell the story of Jamaica’s greatest son, in a manner which will give the reader a broad spectrum in a small space. A lot of this book will not be about Marley himself, but about the places, times and people that shaped him. It will explore how his upbringing, his faith and the historical context into which he was born had and such an immense impact. The story of the people who had an impact on him, who supported him and left differing but equally lasting impressions on him, will also be told. The hope is that the reader will finish this book knowing what drove this cultural icon, religious figure, political activist, but also the flaws which proved that, although he was a great man, he was just a human being like everyone else.

We can all learn from Bob’s story and hopefully take his message of peace over violence and love over hate into our own lives, and really believe that ‘Every little thing gonna be alright.’
