False Impressions

In 1945, a group of paintings confiscated by the Allies in Paris were stolen. Now, fifty years later, two pieces of the collection suddenly appear in the window of a Boston art gallery.

Once again, the sometimes romantic, mostly professional, duo of attorney Jennifer McCallum and homicide detective Bill Conlon, find themselves presented with another complicated case. Joining forces with Gamble Coulhoon, retired CIA spy and longtime friend of the McCallum family, they begin a search that takes them back into history, propelling them down a dangerous path that uncovers two murders and an international network of gun running and art forgery.
