Limited to 250 copies. The annual Samuel W. Melendy Memorial Lectures were established and endowed by Mrs. Melendy to perpetuate the memory of her husband. Mrs. Melendy in her will expressed the wish the Lectures be published. No provisions for publication exist. Wanting Mrs. Melendy's wishes fulfilled I have undertaken the publication of these first four Lectures which Dead Rogers invited me to give. -- Fredrick J.
