Description
Whiplash is a radio-play (approx 40 minutes long) telling the story of a three-car bumper-to-bumper involving five people; a would-be taxi driver on her first day with something to lose, the woman who causes the crash with really nothing to lose, an unseen young woman with everything to lose, and two men who make a run for it when things really take a turn for the worst. The moments leading up to the crash are told from every perspective but the main story follows recovering drug-addict Tara the taxi driver who, as a result of this random incident has the chance to help a soul in need and give herself a new sense of purpose.
In 2012 Whiplash was short-listed for RTE’s PJ O’Connor awards run by RTE’s radio drama department.
To date, the play has not been produced for radio.
Permission from the author is required if anyone wishes to publicly perform or produce Whiplash or parts thereof.
