Commencement

Aiden McManus, a high school freshman and varsity baseball player in the Boston suburbs of 1974, carries unexpressed grief about his mother's death by a drunk driver. Bernie Kimball is a member of the school outcasts who caused and survived an unrelated drunk driving accident but is physically damaged as a result. They are adversaries who, with the help of the adults in their lives, take a journey together to healing.
