Malik, Jamaal's estranged father, has wormed his way into the position of chief torturer for Saddam Hussein's regime at Abu Ghraib prison, having miraculously survived the chaotic start of the Iran / Iraq war. Once in situ he finds his unexpected career change entirely to his liking and become increasingly more depraved, his bloodlust seemingly knowing no bounds.
