Assume the Position

Danny Mcfadden believes he finally has it made--a real job, a dental plan, a fiance. Then Lylah Johnson, his old love, crashes back into his life, disrupts his best friend's (and her ex-husband's) funeral carrying with her a whole heap of troubled relations:
A 10-year-old daughter, Candice, (Danny's kid?) her sister, Dusty, a wanna-be country music star (Danny's ex), and a pair of feral grandparents who want Candice back.
Danny knows he should drop Lylah like a hot spud, but the flame of love has been rekindled, hotter than ever. They grab Candice and take to the road in a giant purple metal-flake motor home. The feral grandparents pursue, cops not far behind.
A hundred miles an hour down the Columbia Gorge. But when an outlaw motorcycle gang show up in the rear-view mirror--looking to get back their two hundred pounds of stolen dope somebody stashed in the purple motorhome--Danny and Lylah find themselves running for their lives.
