A Lab Report

This is a story of the life of a somewhat precocious, black Labrador puppy from seven weeks old, through her puppy months and heading towards adulthood at nearly two, told from her point of view.

It begins with an amusing description of her ‘selection’ from a litter of thirteen pups by her new owners or parents as she sees them. She is removed from the mayhem of puppies near Loch Lomond and transported to the joys of sea-side living in East Lothian, Scotland, and a house where she is the third dog in the family.

Its anecdotes range from the amusing, and at times, embarrassing to the deeply poignant.

All dog owners will recognise the trials, tribulations and sheer joy that come with a canine companion.
