Up until last night, vampire hunter, Jennifer Ryan had been convinced the worst monster she'd ever have to face were vampires. But her world is turned upside down when she runs across a monster the likes of which she's never seen before. With half of her own team of hunters hospitalized or dead she has little choice but to turn to the monsters for answers where she soon finds herself immersed in an Afterlife more diverse then her worst nightmare. Her new enemy are flesh eating corpses, known as revenants, raised from the dead by a psychotic vampire with no control over them and if the situation isn't contained soon the world may just come to an end. So with little recourse she aligns herself with a cold group of government assassins and an uncharacteristically sane group of vampires in hopes of stopping the zombie apocalypse before it starts.
