Beauty and the Geek

After catching her fiancée Dirk cheating, Fox Morgan flees Sydney and returns to her hometown of Noosa after a 12 year absence.
While she is back home she is looking forward to catching up with her mother Pearl and rekindling her friendship with her once best-friend Weed Cooper who she has not seen in 12 years.
But when she meets up with Weed over lunch she discovers that a lot has changed since they last hung out together as best friends. Weed is now all grown up and has lost his geekiness. What's more he now prefers to be referred to as Wade rather than his nickname Weed.
Will they be able to rekindle their friendship after such a long time apart or have they both changed too much for that to happen?
