TWO SLUTS ON HORSEBACK

Historical noir. The sometimes romance between two young girls in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s, after they meet in a small one horse town in northern British Columbia. They make their way from the plains of the USA mid-west, to San Francisco, to Seattle, to Vancouver, back into the wilds of British Columbia, on to the Yukon and back again. Wandering, trying to make their way in a world of rough men, liars, cheats, murderers and struggling souls.
One, a gentle, part native girl, the survivor of a family killing, the other a young Austrian girl, escaping terror and abuse, sneaked into the country by an old man claiming to be her father. One girl: the oasis, a gentle, soft heart, with mostly optimism, the other: the storm, consumed by hate, bitterness and vengeance. They survive by the only means available to many women and girls, both in those times and now. Geography separates them many times, yet they remain in love, till murder completes the life cycle.
